75 Years of Lumps.

75 years, already. And I’m a kid. In a can, in a jar or in your cup; but always with the same recipe: the one that makes those lumps so much mine.

My origins are in a small shop in Barcelona, in the heart of the Gracia district, one of the most popular in the city. There, two entrepreneurs -José María Ventura and José Ignacio Ferrero- started working on a handmade product that was commercially registered under the name ColaCao in 1945, which is how I was born. The product was launched on the Spanish market a year later.
ColaCao is the most consumed brand of soluble cocoa in Spain since its creation in 1945.
Its popularity has grown year after year, winning over both young and old, and the fact is that – contrary to what many may think – almost 50% of the product’s consumption is in the hands of adults.
But one thing that has remained unchanged throughout its 75-year history is its recipe, made with natural cocoa.
